Hola! We are super excited to let you know about our upcoming concert on June 17, 2012 at experimental arts venue Issue Project Room in Brooklyn! This will be a special show as we are going to play with Kaufman Center’s teen alt-classical ensemble Face the Music! They are going to join us on a couple of songs plus they will perform a piece by composer and Balún co-founder, Angélica Negrón.

For this show our line-up will include a couple of great special guests: Lawson White on percussion and Jennifer Stock on live video! This will be a preview of all new material that we are going to include on our next album.

About this show, Time Out NY says:

“Face the Music, the remarkable teenage contemporary-classical brigade fielded by the Kaufman Center, heads out to Brooklyn for a meeting with Balún, a dreamy synth-pop band led by composer Angélica Negrón. Face the Music will be playing a new piece by Negrón and additional works by Osvaldo Golijov and Lev “Ljova” Zhurbin; Balún will preview a forthcoming album and also play with the Kaufman bunch.”
